Being from a small town in Newfoundland, Dr. Davis loves being part of a close-knit, friendly team, and when patients come to the practice, he wants them to feel like they are in a comfortable, safe environment. Everything he does is focused on the patient as an individual, and he emphasizes communication and education to make sure the team fully understands patients’ conditions before starting the treatment process.

His interest in dentistry began at a young age when he had a hockey injury repaired by his dentist. Dentistry seemed like a good fit for a career because he enjoys working with people. Early in his training, he found a passion for oral and maxillofacial surgery and decided to pursue it. He wanted to care for many types of patients, including those needing more complex surgical solutions to their problems. Cases where he can help restore someone’s smile are especially rewarding because he can really make a difference in people’s lives. They also provide the opportunity to collaborate with other dental professionals to identify the best treatment.

After receiving his undergraduate and dental degrees from Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS, Dr. Davis attended a multi-disciplinary residency program at the University of Western Ontario in London. It was there that he gained a solid foundation in oral surgery and cemented his passion for the field. Following two years of surgical experience in Ontario, he was accepted into the oral and maxillofacial surgery program at McGill University in Montreal, QC. This intensive residency program provided a wealth of experience performing full scope of oral and facial surgeries.

Outside of work, Dr. Davis enjoys a variety of hobbies. He is an avid reader, and loves sitting down with a good book. He also has a passion for music and plays both the piano and the guitar. When he has time off, he likes to travel and explore new places, especially those with good wine for tasting.

In 2015, following his successful decade-long practice and graduate education, Dr. Aminzadeh launched Implant Genius, the world’s first prosthodontist-driven implant planning company, which focuses on digital treatment planning of complex oral rehabilitations. 

That same year he founded Key Dental Laboratories, which develops cutting-edge technological solutions for dental treatments. As a consultant for oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, and general dentists and as a digital workflow professional, Dr. Aminzadeh advises on the use of implant planning software, implant placement, and custom prosthodontic restorations.

Dr. Aminzadeh founded ByDesign Dentistry in 2015, with the goal of providing his patients with the highest level of comprehensive, customized care. He continues to develop his clinical skills through accredited educational programs and has been a clinical instructor with the UBC Faculty of Dentistry.
Since giving back is important to him, Dr. Aminzadeh has gone on several missions to rural areas of Iran, where he provides essential dental services to people in need. 

Outside of his practice, he enjoys open water scuba diving, soccer, and traveling with his wife.
